Nice podcast, i just wanted to say that Star Wars Galaxies are the same when it comes to gear. No instanced weapons or armor can beat a recrafted weapon/armor. So only thing you get is a very small dmg boost (when recrafting it) and a nice skin on your weapon/armor. So even if you get the rarest armor or weapon in the game you wont do more dmg then the one next to you if he got his weapon/armor crafted from the same person.
