It has been a little over 24 hours since the 1.2.1 patch release.
Since I have been playing in T1 with my fiance, on our new characters, I cant say much about the high end stuff.
When we started those characters, I guided her through to rank 2, and we pressed the Rally Call button and ended up at the Nordlands Warcamp. And so begun the great war for Nordlands and Norsca.
At the end, we managed to kill off 22 players, and I was so disappointed that we both only got 1 medal. (That was the zone capture medal)
After a bit of reading on the patch notes, I took the trip to Altdorf, to see the price on those buy-able epics, I was shocked. The price for T1 stuff was way to much. 15 medals for some boots? I figured out that that would mean 10 zone caps and a couple of lucky medallions of some destruction players.
So, first thought after Altdorf: RvR “improvements” = total disappointment.
Next on my list was the total and utterly destruction of my UI setup. Whats the idea Mythic? This new feature with separate UI’s for different chars is all well and good. But can you at least turn it around? I dont want to click “load profile” to get my UI as I want it. I did spend a good part of my first 3 months playing finding addons I want to use, and how to arrange them. I would have liked the feature if it was that I could click a button on my UI setup menu, “start fresh UI”. That would be more apropriate. Most people I know playing WAR already have the UI as they want it. Enough about UI’s.
Lets talk about GUILD SEARCH!!!!!
Oh what a genius idea. A guild search tab. My first thought while I read about it was: “Rubbish”. Then while playing, I started to fiddle around with it. And I had to admit I thought to fast. This is one the most handsome, lovely, beautiful new addons ever. No more looking for guild spam, no more pro-l33t/zupa-gnomez guild recruiting spam. While I was toying around with the search options, a poor fella who did not read the PN got flamed in the chat for posting a “Mature player looking for guild” post. I must admit I felt sorry for the poor man, but it was also at the same time extremely hilarious to watch.
So now, we can only wait and see how the patch turn out to be after a week or so.
That’s it for this time kids, turn in later for more of Heikes wacky wacky stories.
