Though I intend to re-visit the TiVo of MMOs soon, I thought I’d take a stab at Monty Python.

And now for something completely different….

two great WAR addons!

DUFFTIMER

The first is for combat. If you’re a healer, you use DoTs, or if you have access to a knockdown/disarm in your skills and are worried about the timers, I present to you…. DuffTimer!!

With a little configuring you can get your HoTs to display on your defensive targets head or your own head, or both! All effects including DoTs, knockdown/disarm immunity, & knockback immunity can be displayed above the targets head. A very handy mod. If you dont like large bars, you can alter the size of the icons that pop up. If you take a little time, you get a lot back.

There are other mods that do this, but I personally prefer Dufftimer to Buffhead since Buffhead creates some extra frame rate lag in large encounters. There’s also a mod called Aura that will do something similar, but I couldnt figure out how to get it to display on top of the targets’ head, it was a static bar. Theres something very convenient about putting your DoTs on the targets head so you can track them that i like very much.

Heres an example of the bars from Curse. Just imagine them stuck on the head of your target! Quite handy.

TOKEN MACHINE

The second is just handy, with the introduction of 1.2.1 all those annoying tokens that pop up that you need to roll on can get to be too much, so some smarty out there made a mod to automatically roll Need on all Medallions/crests/tokens/etc. So I present… Token Machine!!

I figured after my abstract post about gaming, you might want something solid to sink your teeth into.
