Sorry for the delay! I thought my journey out of town last week would give me ample time to write up some posts. But, as a father of two I ended up using this opportunity to…sleep.
I actually enjoyed my break from WAR. I did miss playing surprisingly. I had figured by this point that I would be getting a bit of the burnout I usually experience, and I worried that any extended break would prove fatal for a chance of my return. But I think that since I’m nearly 35, I’m at the point in game where I want to keep pressing forward and get to 40. I still have a feeling (as most do) that the Land of the Dead expansion will make or break this game for a lot of people (possibly even myself). I still love WAR’s RvR, and there’s not another game like it on the market. But at some point (possibly when I hit 40) I will have to question whether it is enough to make me pay a monthly fee for. I think about games like Call of Duty 4, Left 4 Dead or Team Fortress 2 and the pickup and play fun I can have with them, and I begin to question my need for that in an MMO. But for now, I’m sticking with WAR because, well, in my opinion, you can’t beat this community, and I have a bunch of stuff left to experience before retiring its jersey.
More posts on the way, just wanted to send up a flare. I’m back baby!

A little time to get away from it all obviously did you some good. I’m having a blast these days now that I’m playing with a very active guild/alliance.
