Mythic loves me yes I know, for ‘Ow T’Steam Stunties tells me so.
I have recently stumbled upon a marvelous in game bonus thanks to leaving the game for such a long time, as well as never getting past Tier 2 in game. It comes from both a combination of a massive rested bonus and the best quest that will probably never see anywhere else in the game, ever again (Unless I roll an alt).
It all started out as a normal day, nothing out of the ordinary, got myself a decent ORvR WB and ran around smashing order skulls in for a few hours. Now if I wasn’t naive to the game, and didn’t ignore the system messages upon login and icons around my mini-map, I probably would’ve caught this at a much earlier time and not at 1a.m.
I had a letter waiting for me in my inbox that was probably sent to me when I reached level 19 earlier that day. However, when I finally did notice the letter waiting for me I was greeted by a pleasant surprise. Apparently this was a letter from some Ork somewhere (Who’s name I sadly forget) and started a fairly simple quest for me to complete, called ‘Ow T’Steam Stunties.
All it stated for me to do was go talk to a cunning shaman in any warcamp and discuss the stunties war plans. It seemed like a quest that didn’t deliver much experience points so I probably would’ve forgotten about it if the person I was suppose to talk to wasn’t right behind me. (At this time I still hadn’t read the quest dialog and had accepted it randomly so I didn’t even connect the dots between the npc and the letter – yet.)
Much to my surprise after turning in the quest I was rewarded with 110,000!! experience points, which placed me only about 50,000xp away from my next level. Which is a great benefit for advancing out of Tier 2 and getting me into Tier 3.
Now some of you are probably fuming, complaining about how you never got a quest that rewarded you with so much bountiful experience. Don’t worry you’re not alone, Ziss and Sarc were on the same bandwagon in vent the night it happened. I’m happy to say that it only gets better for me, there was another quest chained to it.
The cunning shaman gave me a simple request, go into the Tier 3 Greenskin/Dwarf ORvR and locate some item that the dwarves were looking for, rewarding me with 63,000xp(110,000 thanks to rested). Thanks to WAR’s built in quest tracker and the red highlight on my map I was able to find a dwarf’s book of grudges within thirty minutes. Allowing me to get from level 19 well into 20 within less than an hour of game play.
Then there was even another quest attached onto that one with the same rewards. It had a fairly simple objective, kill 15 players in any ORvR zone or in the Gates of Ekrund scenario. But sadly I could not complete that particular quest that night, it was about 2:30a.m. and the server was desolate – no stunty smashing action for me.
To top off my gloom and despair, for not being able to complete my massive xp streak, I couldn’t purchase my mount now that I got my first character to 20. The Inevitable City was being raided, causing me to have to log out of the game for the night unable to do anything that I classified as important at that moment.

I was able to purchase my mount come the morning. There was some drama there, I wound up 2g short but got a quick donation from Ziss. Then to top off the sheer awesomeness of the days events, considering that it all started at 1a.m. that day, I got my first gold bag drop from a Keep siege while completing the final part of the ‘Ow T’Steam Stunties quest, but this time I got 120,000xp landing me only 30,000xp shy of 21.
340,000 fast xp, my first mount, and my first gold bag sounds like the perfect day in Warhammer Online to me.
Only four levels to go till crypt crawling madness,

That quest chain was added in order to make the transition from T2 to T3 easier on players, I milked the waffle out of it, hahaha. Sadly, other than a few good epic quests here and there, you won’t see quests giving you that much exp anymore. However, considering you’re roughly 4 months rested, leveling should be a breeze for you. Enjoy it, and watch out for those Bright Wizards!

Rested XP doesn’t affect quest xp, only kills…
