Lagwar was founded in the Spring of 2008 by a group of gamers from Tactical Gamer, Team Warfare League (TWL League), and the World Series of Video Games. Earlier iterations of the site were launched in 2007 under a different name. The site eventually underwent a full takeover by it’s current management lineup in Fall of 2008. The only game that will ever kill WoW is Blizzard’s next MMO, and I doubt even that game will have the numbers that WoW did.

However, I will say that SW:ToR could very well get 3 million subscribers within a month, simply due to the fact that BioWare + Star Wars = Can’t Fail?

Will it sustain those numbers beyond 3 months? I suppose that would be based on the game, but part of me feels that the game doesn’t even have a lot to do with sustaining subs in a brand new title.

    Thoughts?

Nah, it won’t. Even though I’m sure SW:ToR will be a good game in its own right, I’m still don’t have enough evidence to support a claim that it will be the next WoW (speaking in terms of success and longevity of subs).
