I’ve personally been playing this game for the last few days and must say it’s entertaining. Living in the United States I’m not real familiar with the genre, but am quickly becoming a fan. It is designed to be a slower paced, non-grinding browser-based MMOG.

If you are looking for a game that you can play several hours a day, Crown of Byzantus probably isn’t for you. But if you are seeking a casual MMOG that allows you to drop in for a few minutes, explore and conquer, then definitely give it a shot.

Game Info

Crown of Byzantus is a browser-based MMOG combining strategy and adventure. The players are knights competing for the throne of the crumbling Byzantine Empire. Sent to the Land of Byzantium by their liege lords, they must raise an army and rise from lowly Knight Errants to mighty Champions, battling their way through adventures, quests and jousts, until it is time to embark on a war conquest and claim the throne. Byzantus is based loosely on the late 14th century Byzantine Empire spiced up with monsters, relics and a whole lot of action. It does NOT feature farming, raising pigs or building log cabins.
