For those of you who follow and read the novels, short stories, and everything else Games Workshop publishes on the Warhammer Universe you might want to listen to the attached audio file. This is audio from The Black Library seminar held at Games Day Baltimore 2009. Discussed are just about every publication set to be released over the next year based on the Warhammer Universe. Joining the Games Workshop host were authors Nathan Long (Gotrek and Felix) and Grahm McNeil (Time of Legends).

Here are just a few of the items discussed:

Gotrek and Felix Volume 3 by Nathan Long to be released in July 2009
Shamanslayer by Nathan Long to be released September 29th, 2009
2nd Dark Blade Trilogy coming in December 2009
Q and A with Nathan Long and Grahm McNeil
and so much more…

During the first portion of the audio, the Games Workshop representative reviews a projected timeline for Black Library publications for 2009 and 2010 based on the Warhammer fantasy and Warhammer 40K worlds. During the second half, authors Nathan Long and Grahm McNeil take questions from the attendees during the Q and A session.
While the recording quality fairs well, a few of the attendees questions can be somewhat hard to hear during the Q and A part of the session. Just keep in mind this is not an official release and was recorded by a digital handheld recorder by Ziss@LAGWAR.com.

The console comparison was made in regards to the player movement required during some of the new boss encounters packaged with Land of the Dead.

Jess seemed very excited about the upcoming content in Land of the Dead. When I asked what her favorite thing about Land of the Dead was, she simply said, “The boss encounters. There’s a lot of moving around. It’s almost like a console game.”

Seeing that representatives from Lagwar.com and Warhammer Alliance just happened to both be at Games Day Baltimore, it seemed pretty natural to get together for a podcast special regarding Games Day Baltimore, Mythic’s presence at the event, and of course, all the interesting thoughts, observations, and opinions about Land of the Dead as it was given to us at the show. Grab a listen to Frank, Ziss, and Brilen to hear some of what went down and what this means for Warhammer Online!

Games Day Baltimore 2009 Special: Lagwarhammer Alliance Podcast:

Frank, Brilen, and Ziss recollect WAR at Games Day Baltimore

Thanks to Frank from Warhammer Alliance, we had a blast talking about the convention and Warhammer Online in general. Even though it was pushing 2:00am when we finished recording, I think it’s safe to say that the lack of sleep was well worth it. We hope you enjoy this Games Day Baltimore podcast special!
Be sure to check out the Games Day Baltimore coverage at LAGWAR and Warhammer Alliance. There’s still plenty more to come so keep checking back!
