Hi Aryll,

Thanks for participating. The prizes were "niche" items so I honestly didn't expect many people to show up as they weren't something I would consider the majority of players were interested in. Though stuff like that is pretty cool imo : )

We do the podcast every Saturday night @ 10pm EST. You can find all the latest shows that are available for download @ http://lagwar.com/fallenearth or iTunes.

The shows eventually get posted up on the main LAGWAR page, but it's usually delayed so we don't hog up space on the main page. You can find the latest shows @ http://lagwar.com/fallenearth. The live recordings are done on Saturdays @ 10PM EST and the downloadable MP3's are posted every Sunday.

Thanks!

Kind of a delayed responce but...

The race was fun despite the low turn out. If you guys do another race count me in, by then I'll have my machinegun packing dune buggy built and ready to rumble. =) When are you guys going to do another Lifenet broadcast?

Hi Aryll,

Can the no interceptors policy be enforced 100% of the time? Of course not. But it can be enforced enough to affect anyone who tries to break it.

If someone tries to use an interceptor, then they will have to change out vehicles at the garage somewhere beyond the starting point (admins will be watching the garage where the race starts). So if someone does run to another garage and trade out for their interceptor, they've already killed X amount of time by doing so.

Now, a checkpoint is coming up, they cannot show up at the waypoint driving an interceptor cause they'd be disqualified. So they have to run to a garage and trade out vehicles then go to the waypoint. That's more time killed.

Finally, Heero selected waypoint locations that you cannot reach with an interceptor, or at least that's my understanding of how he did it. Some of these waypoints are in some not-so-obvious locations that will take some looking and creativity to find the event admin to complete that checkpoint.

Those who try to reach these checkpoints with an interceptor are in for a big surprise :)

Heero can provide some additional details on his waypoint selection and train of thought behind combatting the no interceptor policy.

Thanks for your concern and we hope to see you there on Saturday!

I'd like to do the race, but I don't believe this...

*NO INTERCEPTORS ALLOWED (No exceptions) – All other vehicles allowed

Can be enforced. Whats keeping people from swaping out to a interceptor at a garage?
